This poem was inspired by my battle with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and migraines. Instead of living life, I spend far too much time curled up in a tight ball longing for relief. Yet as hard as it is to battle with this invisible foe, I hold onto the hope that glorious day when the trumpet will sound and my war with pain will forever be over, and I will never again have to grimace and declare, forget today’s plans, because oh how I really, really hurt.
