I want to praise Thee is a poem of faith that expresses the struggle of my heart. With all of my heart I long to live a life that will glorify and honor God. Yet as hard as I try, I find that all to often I fall short. Sometimes, as I look at my many short comings, I become so discouraged that I wonder if it is worth the effort to keep struggling.
But in that critical moment, when I have come so close to saying forget it. God will never except me, I am too far gone. I open my Bible and read in its pages words of comfort and hope. And discover that I am not alone. That many who came before me struggled with uncertainty and failure, and yet by the grace of God, they endured and by His power became heroes of faith.
